Efficient storage and transport

When the system is not being used it is stored and transported very compactly. Here is an example of 120 meters of the 90 cm barrier. Each pallet holds 16 modules (32) plates of either the 90 cm or 120 cm barrier.

Using floodwater for stabilization

The Flood Grating barrier features an L-shaped cross-section, comprising a wall and a base plate reinforced by a support wire. During a flood, the hydrostatic forces exert greater pressure on the base plate than the wall, resulting in a barrier with exceptional stability. We call this the “Book-end effect”.

A flexible barrier that adapts to uneven terrain

The combination of free-standing modules and the flexible membrane creates a highly adaptable system capable of sealing off uneven terrain. The modules can be angled to form curves and corners and positioned to bypass obstacles. The membrane extends up to two meters in front of the barrier, providing optimal sealing. As water pressure is applied, the membrane conforms to the surface, ensuring a secure seal.
